- PTE Academic exam format:
- Part 1: Speaking & Writing: begins with a personal introduction and continues with reading aloud, sentence repetition, picture description, retelling of short readings and written essays.
- Part 2: Reading: Includes multiple choices, paragraph reordering, fill in the blanks, and answering text-based questions.
- Part 3: Listening: Involves listening to audio or video extracts, answering multiple-choice questions, reordering paragraphs, filling in blanks, and writing a summary based on the audio listened to.
2. Overall Score: This score ranges from 10 to 90 points and reflects your overall level of English proficiency. The higher the score, the greater your ability to understand and use the language in different contexts.
3. Communicative Skills:
- Listening: Assesses your ability to understand auditory information in different situations, such as lectures, academic discussions or everyday conversations.
- Reading: Measures your ability to comprehend and analyze written texts in various formats, such as academic articles, reports, letters, and more.
- Speaking: Assesses your ability to communicate verbally in English, including fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar.
- Writing: Measures your ability to express ideas in writing in English, including coherence, organization, grammar and vocabulary.
4. Enabling Skills:
- Grammar: Assesses your knowledge and application of English grammar in different contexts.
- Oral Fluency: Measures your ability to speak fluently and naturally in English.
- Pronunciation: Assesses your ability to pronounce English words and phrases clearly and understandably.
- Spelling: Evaluates your accuracy in spelling English words correctly.
