Question Style Re-Order-Paragraphs

Techniques and Strategies
The “Re-order Paragraphs” section of the PTE Academic exam assesses your ability to understand the logical organization of a text in English. This section challenges candidates to rearrange the disordered paragraphs of a text to restore logical and coherent order. Here’s how this task is presented and what you need to do to handle it effectively:
Question Format
- Presentation: You will be shown several paragraphs, usually three to five, that have been jumbled up. These paragraphs appear as blocks of text that you can drag and drop into an answer area.
- Task: Your goal is to rearrange these paragraphs in the correct order to restore the logical flow of the original text. You are not required to modify the content within the paragraphs; you only need to determine the correct order.
Evaluation Criteria
- Coherence and Cohesion: Your ability to identify the logical sequence that makes the text coherent and fluid is evaluated.
- Content Comprehension: You must demonstrate your ability to understand the main idea of each paragraph and how they connect to each other to form a coherent argument or narrative.
